Jacqueline Rodriguez, firstname.lastname@example.org
The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC), a national not-for-profit organization founded in 1994 by Harvard Business School professor Michael Porter, drives inclusive economic prosperity in America’s under-resourced communities through innovative research and programs to create jobs, income, and wealth for local residents. Our vision is to eliminate concentrated poverty and close the racial wealth gap in the U.S. ICIC’s research highlights the competitive advantages of under-resourced communities as well as the challenges they face and informs its recommendations to business and civic leaders. Using our research, ICIC has developed and supported highly effective initiatives for underserved urban businesses to meet entrepreneurs’ most pressing needs. At ICIC, you will work with talented, creative, and committed professionals in a collaborative culture dedicated to excellence and innovation.
We are looking for an experienced Communications Director to help us build and codify the ICIC brand and elevate our national profile and presence. You will work across all levels and departments to capture and distill what makes us unique and communicate it to the world. Reporting to our CEO and with significant collaboration with our Director of Development, the Communications Director has overall responsibility for our marketing efforts, public relations, collateral and branded materials, social media and digital marketing, working closely with and supervising our Senior Communications Associate.
